Paper Flowers

Today was my first kidless day of a kidless weekend. Hope is with my ILs at my SIL's med school graduation. I can't fly, so I couldn't go. This afternoon I sat down with my MIL's Cricut Expression and made some flowers for Aubrey's wall. We set up the furniture in the nursery last weekend and the walls were pretty empty looking! I didn't want to do vinyl on the walls because I couldn't add extra stuff to it (like glitter or flocking), so paper it was! It took me two hours to assemble these, and I thought it would be enough, but I think I was wrong. Tomorrow I will probably make more because I don't think it was nearly enough. I used Mickey & Friends, Happily Ever After (I'm pretty sure--if not, it was Dreams Come True), and Zooballoo.




I just sent DH in to look and he thinks it looks fine....hmmmmm what do you think? More flowers? Enough?

Nursery Canvas

Tonight I made a canvas for Aubrey's room. I wanted something but didn't want to pay an arm & a leg...so that only left making it myself, of course. LOL.

Not sure if you can tell from the picture, but the leaves are curled up so that they come off the canvas & the vines wrap around the edge of the canvas. I can't wait to see it in her finished room. We'll be working on it after our Pergo floors are installed next weekend.

Pregnancy Mini Book

Today was my playgroup's scrapbook day in my basement. It was a nice time. Not a big group, but still good. :-) Here is what I got done:

Look!! I did something!!!

Hehe. After a long, long hiatus, I finally sat down at my scrap table. I haven't touched anything at all since October!! Alas, I didn't do anything with pictures, but made a butterfly for Hope's room.

I have another Doodlebug butterfly to alter that I'll be doing for Aubrey's (the newest baby for those of you who don't follow my family blog...we're having another girl) room, probably purple with pink since her room is more purple than pink.

Saturday I'm having a Mom's Day for playgroup here and we're going to scrapbook from 10 am until we're done. Hehe. Dh is going to take Hope out on a "Daddy Date" so we won't be disturbed. Exciting!!!

I don't think I've shared pictures of my new scrap area yet! Here's a picture:

I'm not quite done with it yet, but this is just all the stuff moved from upstairs (the room that will be the nursery) to downstairs to my area. I want to put magnetic strips in front of my table and perhaps some hanging pegs or something of that sort for alphabet stickers, rub ons, etc.

Why I've been gone???

So is there anyone else still around that's wondering why I've been gone for so long? Well, I lost my mojo...but there's a perfectly good explanation WHY I've lost my mojo. Really! I'm 14 weeks pregnant!!!!! See?



Ok, ok, so this is me at 12 weeks pregnant, but it's the best I had right now (I'm still at my parent's house in TX for Christmas). I have been SO SO sick with this baby that I've hardly felt like sitting upright on the couch, much less my scrap table! Now that I'm in my second trimester, though, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel of nausea and will be back in no time I'm sure. Good thing DH is almost finished with my new scrap room in the basement, as the room I'm currently in will need to be changed into a nursery before the end of June 2009!!!! On Hold

For now all my scrapping has been put on hold until I can get my scrap table moved downstairs into the basement. I also haven't been feeling very well, so until I get moved and feel better, I probably won't be scrapping for a while. I hope I don't lose too many readers because of it. Not entirely sure I have very many readers to begin with lol....but ah well...can't do anything about it for now.
